Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Nopal, julienned (nopal is also known as prickly pear cactus)
  • 1/2 Cucumber, peeled and chopped
  • 1 Lime, juiced
  • 1 cup Water
  • Crushed Ice (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Clean cactus pads and remove spines of nopal cactus

Step 2

Store julienned nopal in snack bags in the freezer the day before

Step 3

*To make one smoothie, use only half the bag of nopal

Step 4

Place all the ingredients in an Omega Blender

Step 5

Blend ( to have the smoothie less chunky, blend longer or add more water)
